Your Library Card
How do I apply for a library card?
- You must be a Seaford School District resident (District #6).
- You must present two forms of identification with your address, one of which must be a photo I.D (see below for accepted forms of identification).
- Children: Only a parent or legal guardian may apply for a library card for a child. To apply, the parent or guardian must present his/her own aforementioned identification. In addition, the child must be present to receive his/her library card. However, children entering Kindergarten in the Seaford School District will receive their library cards in April of that year.
Types of I.D. Accepted:
- Current Driver’s License
- Current Non Driver Photo Identification Card
- Current Car Registration
- Current Proof of Car Insurance
- Utility Bill (dated within the last 30 days)
- Current School Identification Card (only if it includes applicant’s address).
How do I renew my library card?
- Bring in your expired library card.
- You must present two forms of identification with your address, one of which must be a photo I.D.
- Children: Only a parent or legal guardian may renew a library card for a child. To renew the card, the parent or guardian must present his/her own identification. In addition, the child must be present to renew his/her library card.
What if I lose my library card?
- If you lose your Iibrary card, it costs five dollars to replace it.
