 Long Island Reads 2019

"The Female Persuasion"
By: Meg Wolitzer

Wednesday, April 10th      Time: 3:00pm

Join librarian Eric Wasserman for a lively discussion of this year’s Long Island Reads book “The Female Persuasion,” by bestselling author and Syosset native Meg Wolitzer (The Interestings, The Uncoupling, The Ten-Year Nap, The Position, The Wife, and Sleepwalking). “The Female Persuasion” focuses on a shy college freshman, Greer Kadetsky, who finds her perspectives transformed by a mentor activist who is at the center of the women’s movement. This challenges Greer to discover herself in ways that take her far from the traditional life she envisioned at the side of her boyfriend.

Copies of the book will be available when you register.

Registration begins Wednesday, March 13th at the Reference Desk.
