Make a splash……read!
Many terrific programs are scheduled for the month of July. Meet the Animals (a live animal show), Stamp Art, Jester Jim, Candy the Clown, Magic by Bruce and numerous craft and science programs. Don’t forget to sign up for the “make a splash…read!” summer reading program. This program is for all ages and is aimed to encourage the enjoyment of books. For a complete schedule of events pick up a calendar in the children’s room.

Learn all of the basics of makeup. Using models from the class, our instructor will show you the correct way to put on foundation, blush, mascara, eye shadow and eyeliner as well as lipstick or lip gloss. Join Miss Cindy and Eric Wasserman for a fun chat about your favorite books and authors. Just bring a book that you are reading this summer and we will share some of our favorites with you. Adult Program Zumba
Mondays: July 19, 26 & August 2, 9 16 7-8pm

The Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. Devour these 4 delicious sandwiches. You’ll start with the Cuban, a submarine-style layering of ham, roast pork, cheese, and pickle between a sliced length of Cuban bread. Next, the Toasted Panino, a ciabatta bread filled with prosciutto. Then tear into the Finger Sandwich, and end with a Cranberry, Turkey Rosemary Wrap. For those ages 10-18. Awesome August

The “Make a Splash…Read” Summer Reading Program is proud to announce a membership of over 900 readers, with more signing on each day. The month of August promises to continue offering some exciting programs. On Monday, August 16 we have our annual Ice Cream Feast, Steve Fratello, the Butterfly Man, on Wednesday, August 4, The Singing School Bus Driver on Wednesday, August 11, Pick-A-Project, Fishy Facts, Shell Treasures and the film, Up are some other exciting events. A complete calendar is available in the children’s room.

Adult Program Newborn Baby Care Workshop- Part 1

Join Dr. Leeds, a pediatrician in Bellmore for two newborn care workshops that are very informative and something that is nice for excited parents-to-be. Samples and Refreshments will also be available.
